Teenager eating 3000-4000 calories a day? Ok I'm a 16 y/o male and I weigh 160lbs. I never exercise, although I am very hyper/jittery and move around a lot without meaning to. All my sources say I should only be eating around 2,400 calories per day, but I swear I often get close to doubling that.
5'5", 115 pounds and maintain between 2200 and 2600 or so. Sometimes more. I can maintain on about 2300-2400 calories at 5'3.5, 136lbs and 21% body fat. Lift 5 days per week for 50 minutes, one 10 min HIIT session and I aim for 8,000 steps per day (including my weight training as I walk between sets).
Well, if your dream is to eat 3000 calories and still lose weight, then you'd better find a way to burn a crapload of calories each day. You can still do it, but it probably won't be as enjoyable as eating a lot, not doing shit all day, and still magically losing body fat.
A lot. More than I want to. I guess I hit around 3,000 calories a day (that includes beer). Some days more, some days less. Lots of whole foods, vegetables, meats, and carbs. Not much dairy. More quinoa than I'll ever admit to. It's not all clean eating though, I have donuts and pizza and even donut pizza sometimes.
Clean two medium, stiff outer leaves from a head of cabbage (~2.5 carbs). Arrange them like a clam shell, placing one leaf 1/3 to 1/2 inside the other. Fill the pocket with shredded corned beef (~1 carb), sauerkraut (~2-3 carbs), lacy swiss cheese (~.6 carbs), and THIS thousand island dressing (.5 carbs):
Let’s say you started off at 200lbs, you started eating 2,000 calories a day and were losing weight at around 1lb a week. But now you weigh 180lbs and you’re not losing weight anymore. that’s because 2,200 calories is now your maintenance. If you want to carry on losing 1lb a week, you may need to reduce your calories down to around 1,700
1-day sample meal plan. Eating over 3,000 calories might sound like a lot. Here is a one-day sample menu so you can see what that many calories looks like. Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with parmesan and bacon with avocado; Morning snack: Protein shake with MCT oil and blueberries; Lunch: Steak with cauliflower mashed “potatoes” and cooked tomatoes
3000 calories in a 4 hour span may be excessive but if you're young, active throughout the day and run 5-6 miles a day then you probably need 4000+ calories a day anyway. 0 Report Post
